FRIDAY
JUNE 29 (MARXASLOKT,)
This
day was a holiday in Malta, San Pedro is a holiday and is very, very
important to them ...
All
the streets of Sliema, Valletta etc ... were decked with ribbons,
balloons, garlands and statues of saints everywhere seems really odd
that you feel at Easter in Seville.
We
decided to take the bus tour on one of the routes to the south for 15
euros per person, you just have to go up and down at various tourist
sites, a convenient way to go sightseeing. We started crossing
Valletta where we saw the Phoenicia Hotel, the city gate and finally
the waterfront where you can see all the cruises, but our first goal
was to see the two Tarxien megalithic temples that are here, first
the memorial ( Hypogeum) and then the megalithic temple of Tarxien,
impressive stone reliefs. Is transport you to prehistory, but he felt
a sense of loneliness in this town.

After
returning to the bus drove several kilometers watching the three
cities and reached one of the most touristic villages and beautiful
Marxaslok Island fishing village on Sunday the famous flea market is
held every day but the port of this town is full of typical small
boats with eyes of Osiris, colorful boats and little money you have
to walk around the bay, you can also visit the church right there and
a market town with a variety of products, after sightseeing we sat in
one of the many seaside restaurants and just over 10 euros ate a menu
with fish of the day, soup typical local wine and seafood and with
pleasure, highly recommended, from here you can also get a taxi and
take St Peters church on the cliff where you can throw water living
an adventure in the clear blue water.
